Who Is Jesus?
Jesus Christ was “God with skin on.”
Jesus was God spelling Himself out in language we could understand.
Jesus is the only person who divides history in half:
B.C. (before Christ) and A.D. (Anno Domini), the year of our Lord.
Jesus was and is God.
Jesus did not stay in the safety of Heaven; He entered our world.
Jesus identified with us.
It was total identification with us without any loss of His identity.
He became one of us without ceasing to be Himself.
Jesus was at the creation of everything.
Jesus is the Creator.
Jesus, who was God, became a man.
From our perspective on earth, “Unto us a child is born.”
From Heaven’s perspective, “Unto us a Son is given.”
Jesus Christ was born of a young virgin named Mary.
Jesus veiled His deity; He never voided it.
There was no one more powerful and yet accessible than Jesus.
Jesus was more than a “force of nature.” He was the creator of nature.
On the mount of transfiguration, Jesus shined like the sun.
Jesus became tired like we do.
Jesus experienced physical thirst.
Jesus knew physical hunger.
Jesus experienced physical weakness.
Jesus knew anger.
Jesus came to Earth to die on the cross for our sins.
Jesus’ death on the cross neutralized Satan’s power over the human race.
Jesus willingly went to the cross to die for our sins.
On the cross, the Father was pouring out the full measure of His wrath against sin.
The recipient of the that wrath was God’s own beloved Son.
Jesus died to absorb the wrath of God.
God’s love is willing to meet the demands of justice.
Jesus died on the cross to show His love for us.
Jesus suffered and died to provide our forgiveness and justification.
Jesus will come back again.
